Yan Chen, M.D.

Joined PACI in 2011.

Board Certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology

Subspecialty certification:

          • Fine needle aspiration biopsy

          • Gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytopathology

Dr. Chen received her MD from Fujian Medical University in P.R. of China.  She went on to receive her MS in Nuclear Medicine and completed a residency program in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, North Shore-LIJ Health System, New York.  She completed her Cytopathology fellowship at Medical University of South Carolina.

Before joining PACI, she served in nuclear medicine and neurophysiology research for several years, and practiced pathology at Marshall University School of Medicine and a private pathology group for four years. Currently, Dr. Chen is a Laboratory Director of Passavant Area Hospital.

In her free time,  Dr. Chen enjoys activities like world traveling, music and reading.
